Adem grew up in Germany and now lives and works in Paris / France. Adem has been fascinated for many years by many 20th century art movements. DaDa, Surrealism, Pop-Art, Arte Povera have influenced many of his thoughts, ideas and concepts.
Adem uses what is, or has become, worthless for our ciilization and attempts to give a new meaning to the components that had before become meaningless.
Adem installations are made from found objects and garbage. Oftentimes the art historical influence is clearly visible. The installations can be categorized under environmental art or recycling art. Many of the works must be viewed in the context of the landscape, which means that the works somewhat also belong to the category of Land Art.
